According to the Honolulu Star Advertiser, Hilo based Hawaii Nui Brewing, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The maker of both Mehana and Hawaii Nui brands has experienced rapid growth over the past 6 months and needed to restructure it’s debt. Company president Andy Baker stated restructuring was needed to keep up with their growth and it is likely the company will emerge with new ownership.
