You know we got a growing beer scene when local food awards add a Best Beer Program to their ballot. Honolulu Magazine’s annual Hale Aina Awards are back for the 30th year and for the first time ever there is a category for beer!
The prestigious awards recognize the very best of Hawaii dining and are completely decided by your votes. Created in 1984 to give island residents a voice in recognizing and awarding their favorite restaurants, this year we get the chance to vote on our favorite beer establishment. The Best Beer Program features five restaurants that have all put a huge focus on serving craft beer. Here are the five nominees:

- Monkeypod Kitchen
- Murphy’s Bar & Grill
- Pint + Jigger
- Real a Gastropub
You can also write in another location that is not listed. This is our chance to recognize and reward all the hard work these local establishments have done to bring us good beer! All are deserving, but only one will win, so vote for your favorite. Lets make this one of the most voted on categories and show our support for great beer in Hawaii.
